Overknee Slouch Boots
A meeting of artisanal craftsmanship and circular design.
Created in collaboration with Trippen, these over-the-knee slouch boots reinterpret an iconic silhouette through the lens of Plaid-à-Porter. Instead of the original textile cover, each pair is handcrafted from a carefully sourced vintage Gobelin tapestry, transforming historic woven textiles into contemporary wearable pieces.
No two pairs are alike. Every tapestry carries its own history, pattern and patina, making each boot a true one-of-a-kind. As each pair is individually crafted from vintage materials upon request, the textile composition and motif will naturally differ from the product images.
The oversized Gobelin cover can be styled at different heights and secured with adjustable side straps, while a protective rubber layer shields the textile from moisture. Beneath the cover sits a warm felt boot made from Trippen's innovative REWOLLY—a premium circular wool felt composed of 50% recycled post-consumer wool, 20% virgin wool and 30% polyester for enhanced durability and stability.
