A refined study in organic form from the PLAID-À-PORTER × LüSchwarz collaboration.
The Sekiguchi Necklace is an intimate composition of natural freshwater Keshi pearls, selected for their irregular silhouettes, luminous surfaces and quietly distinctive character.
Measuring approximately 6–6.5 mm, the Keshi pearls create a delicate yet tactile rhythm along the neckline. Unlike perfectly rounded pearls, each one is shaped by nature alone, revealing subtle differences in contour, texture and lustre.
A considered brass clasp completes the composition, introducing a warm, understated contrast to the soft luminosity of the pearls.
At 42 cm, Sekiguchi rests naturally close to the neckline. Its restrained scale allows the organic character of the pearls to speak for itself, creating a piece that feels less like conventional pearl jewellery and more like a collection of small natural objects brought together into a single form.
No two Keshi pearls are alike. Each necklace therefore carries its own constellation of shapes, surfaces and subtle variations.
