THE KESHI DROP PEARL EARRING
 
A study in proportion, movement and organic form from the PLAID-À-PORTER × LüSchwarz collaboration.
The Keshi Drop Earring is composed of two naturally formed freshwater Keshi pearls, suspended in a delicate vertical arrangement. A smaller pearl sits close to the ear, while a larger pearl descends beneath it, creating a subtle sense of movement with every step.
Each Keshi pearl is entirely unique. Unlike perfectly formed round pearls, their organic silhouettes, irregular surfaces and individual contours are shaped by nature, giving each earring a tactile and sculptural character.
The pearls are set in 925 sterling silver with a refined gold plating, creating a warm, luminous frame for their naturally soft lustre. The graduated proportions—from the smaller upper pearl to the larger pendant below—draw the eye downward and create an elongated, elegant line.
Light, movement and imperfection become part of the design. The lower pearl moves gently as the wearer does, turning the earring into a small kinetic sculpture suspended from the ear.
No two Keshi pearls are alike. Each pair therefore carries its own subtle differences in shape, surface and proportion, making every piece inherently singular.
